Data collected

Browsing data: while you browse, the site's systems collect technical data (IP address, browser type, pages visited, date and time of the request) needed for the site to work and stay secure.

Data collected through cookies and third-party tools: only if you give consent through the cookie banner, Google Analytics 4 (visit statistics) and Google AdSense (advertising) are enabled. Details in the Cookie Policy.

Data you provide: if you email the controller, or leave your email address to receive the newsletter when the service is active, the data you provide is processed.

Purposes and legal basis

Operation and security of the site: legitimate interest of the controller (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).

Visit statistics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (Google AdSense): consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time through the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of each page.

Replying to emails and sending the newsletter: consent and steps taken at your request (Art. 6.1.a and 6.1.b GDPR).

Recipients and transfers

Data may be processed, strictly as needed, by providers acting on behalf of the controller: the hosting provider (Railway Corp.) and, only with your consent, Google Ireland Limited for Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense.

Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States); in that case the transfer relies on the safeguards set out in Chapter V GDPR.

Data is not made public.

Retention

Browsing data is kept only as long as needed for the security of the site. Google Analytics 4 data is kept according to the service's retention settings. Data sent by email is kept as long as needed to handle the request; the newsletter address until you unsubscribe.

The choice you make in the cookie banner is stored in your browser for 6 months, after which you will be asked again.

Your rights

At any time you can exercise the rights under Articles 15-22 GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent.
